DESCRIPTION
The Expobar Office is an automatic espresso machine with four programmable buttons and one manual button. The programmability aspect is a first, especially in terms of price. It allows any user, regardless of skill level, to prepare a specific espresso at the push of a single button. Just like the Pulser, the Control boasts 360-degree rotating steam and hot water wands, a commercial chrome-plated brass portafilter, and the new E61 group head. A traditional E61 siphons hot water through the infusion circuit to ensure that the infusion water always maintains its temperature; the Expobar’s complements it by integrating a concave pre-infusion chamber to soak the grounds before infusion and aid extraction. The same is true inside, with safety switches, electronic boiler control, and commercial-grade components. All this is to say that this machine is as high quality as it is forward-thinking.
Using the Control is as simple as it gets. You can brew manually as with any other heat exchanger, or press one of four programmed volumetric buttons to dispense a preset amount of water through the coffee at the push of a button. A passively heated cup warmer keeps cups ready for the indicator light to come on. With all its features and small footprint, Control is ideal for any barista or espresso worker, whether at home or in the office.
Programmable Volumetric Brew Buttons
Expobar Office Control features a 5-button touchpad that activates the pump to dispense your favorite beverages. Four of the buttons are programmable according to one’s preferences and automatically dispense the desired volume of water with the push of a button. It also features an automatic rinse cycle for cleaning the brewing unit.
3-Way Solenoid Valve
The 3-way solenoid valve is a commercial feature that relieves water pressure on the coffee when the brewing switch is turned off. The function is twofold: it dries the coffee to prevent dripping and facilitates the extraction of coffee from the portafilter in one go. The water is deposited in the drip tray.
Redesigned E-61 Group Head
A standard E-61 unit constantly siphons water from the boiler to the unit and vice versa, but Expobar has raised the bar by adding a pre-infusion chamber above the shower screen. This innovative addition evenly distributes the hot water over the bottoms for uniform saturation during pre-infusion and the entire production process.
Heat-Exchange Boiler
Office Control’s 1.7-liter heat exchanger boiler has an internal chamber that houses the infusion water, while the steam is isolated in the surrounding chamber, preventing them from coming into contact. This design heats the infusion water and allows simultaneous brewing and steaming at any time.
