DESCRIPTION
Professional coffee grinders with stainless steel body. Lux uses conical mills, in hardened, tempered steel, to guarantee a long working life and excellent performance over time. The powerful engine is equipped with a reduction system that allows the speed to be reduced from 10,200 to 800 RPM.
A low milling speed is very important since it ensures the coffee is not overheated, which might lead to a burnt flavor. LUX – designed to maintain coffee’s quality and aroma intact.

this little grinder is a hidden gem before i purchased there were very few reviews although i found a few on youtube . I decided to purchase from caffe italia because they offered excellent value on this machine. One of the other things that was eye catching for me anyway is the way the coffee comes out of the dispenser its lovely and fluffy and flows into your portafilter.

I’m looking at buying another of these as my old one has given up the ghost. It’s imperfect, construction is not very refined so dismantling it to clean the burrs is a pain, the ground coffee tends to spray beyond the filter so I had to invent a way of keeping it under control, and it’s noisy. But on the other hand, for a home user, there’s very little around at the price to give a consistent grind and it does dispense direct to the filter, so if you only make a few cups a day you don’t have ground coffee lying around in the machine going stale. And it is very compact which is important in our small kitchen. I’ve tried the cheap Krups Burr grinders and they are OK but you don’t get the same results, a hand grinder is excellent but slow so I’ll probably have another of these.

excellent grinder that was used daily to make 1-3 cups of espresso. Lasted a full 9 years before finally kicking the bucket. This grinder is definitely on the loud side. Still highly recommended, although I think a grinder that goes a bit finer would be better for espresso. Will be upgrading to the Rocky I think.
