The German manufacturer of professional coffee grinders Mahlkönig presented the new Mahlkönig X54 Allround model, a coffee grinder that can be placed within a new line of domestic products under the Mahlkönig brand. The name “Allround” describes both the shape and the set of functions of the grinder. Specifically, the cylindrical body recalls the Mahlkönig line of professional coffee grinders although it is a grinder designed to meet all the needs of the domestic segment.

The product is available with two interchangeable front modules that provide optimal functionality for espresso coffee grinding. The filter holder helps to collect the ground coffee perfectly in the center of the filter. The second module is designed to collect the coffee powder to be used with a dedicated filter. The Mahlkönig X54 grinder provides perfectly ground coffee powder that is compatible with the most used brewing methods. The Mahlkönig X54 coffee grinder is equipped with flat steel burrs with a diameter of 54 mm. The grinders of the X54 produce optimal grinding profiles that allow you to prepare both espresso and filter coffee recipes of high quality. Flat grinders achieve a significantly higher proportion of particles than conical-type grinders. For this reason, they are the perfect choice for obtaining a very uniform ground coffee.
The flat burrs also ensure greater dosing accuracy and a more consistent taste experience. The burrs of the Mahlkönig X54 support an average life of 500 kg. This is an indicative figure because the actual maximum yield depends on the selected grind size, the type of beans and the roasting. The wear of the grinders also depends on changes in the fineness and temperature of the ground coffee.
