Vibiemme and Faema are the only manufacturers of espresso machines that can boast an original and proprietary E61 group. The E61 group is mechanically operated by a lever activating a system of cams and spring-loaded pistons allowing the extraction of coffee.
HX Technology: a heat exchange extraction system
The HX Technology (Heater eXchanger) from Vibiemme is the most efficient of traditional delivery systems; in combination with the E61 group, it offers an excellent mechanical pre-infusion, the first requirement for quality extraction.
Operation consists of one or more tubulars (heat exchangers) placed through the main boiler. The thermal transfer that occurs when the water passes between the boiler and the exchanger allows water to be heated. At higher temperature inside the boiler correspond a higher pressure and a higher extraction temperature.
Thermosiphonic Circulation
The thermosiphonic circuit crosses the body of the group from top to bottom. Hot water entering the upper part of the group transfers heat to the metal. In this way the water is cooled and by gravity it moves downwards returning to the circuit and going back inside the exchanger where it is heated again.
Vibiemme Domobar Junior HX
Vibiemme Domobar Junior HX espresso machine implements HX technology. It is the only machine with a single boiler system equipped with a heat exchanger and optimized to work in combination with the thermosyphonic circulation of E61 groups.
